UPDATE Due to unforeseen circumstances, our upcoming production of “Dirty Laundry” is pivoting away from live performances at the end of January. Instead we will take advantage of our residency at the Wortham to produce a film of the work and share it as a livestream event. Stay tuned for more details coming your way soon!
I’m so looking forward to a January in Asheville working with Stewart/Owen Dance for their next show. I love these artists. Have you seen their choreography for Sylvan Esso’s video Frequency?
Dirty Laundry is an immersive dance and spoken word performance premiering in the Tina McGuire Theatre at Wortham Center for the Performing Arts. Prepare to be engrossed in live dance, encircled by multimedia, and enthralled by provocative spoken word Gina Cornejo as she unapologetically discloses the irreverent unraveling of her marriage and divorce. This cringe-worthy-yet-charming show brings together seven artists to enchant viewers, featuring choreography from Stewart/Owen Dance, original writing and narration from @ginawilltravel, projected media by @half_state, lighting design by @_shwafish_, and dancing by @bellpeppered, @jonesymeg, @vanessa_owen, & @gavinstewart.
